Attendees will learn about current delivery methods and how aspects of the marijuana industry may be targeting youth and contributing to youth access and exposure. The session will also cover the strength and impact of high-potency THC products on mental health, as well as the signs, stages, and characteristics of Cannabis-Induced Psychosis (CIP), Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD), and Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS).

Participants will gain an understanding of the potential long-term effects high-potency marijuana can have on the developing brain, including risks that may be irreversible.

The training will also provide practical talking points and strategies for having informed conversations with young people about this challenging topic. In addition, participants will receive support materials such as “Marijuana Free Zone” stickers, educational posters, and informational handouts.
