SUMMARY:That’s Debatable: Debate 101
DESCRIPTION:From the founding of our nation to the great ideas that shaped history\, respectful debate has always been essential to a free society. Yet in today’s culture\, many people have lost the ability to disagree well\, listen carefully\, and engage with ideas without attacking one another. \n\n\nIn this interactive seminar\, parents and scholars will discover why debate matters\, how it develops critical thinking and communication skills\, and what it means to have a “good argument.” Participants will learn the foundations of constructive disagreement\, logical reasoning\, and respectful dialogue while exploring how reclaiming these skills can strengthen families\, communities\, and civic life. \n\n\nWhether you’re new to debate or simply want to communicate more effectively\, this class will equip you with practical tools to think clearly\, speak persuasively\, and engage others with both conviction and grace

SUMMARY:Pueblo Spring Mandatory Session
DESCRIPTION:It’s easy to forget to simply have fun with your kids. Rules\, responsibilities\, schoolwork\, and the daily grind can crowd out moments of joy. That’s where intentionality comes in—sometimes you have to plan for laughter. \n\n\nParents often ask how to prevent problem behaviors or help their children make wise choices. One of the most effective proactive steps is building a family identity rooted in connection: “We know how to have fun together.” Shared joy strengthens relationships\, protects a child’s heart\, and creates a foundation for healthy choices. \n\n\nJoin us as we host a yearly event designed to support families in both connection and education. The event provides resources and information to help families confidently navigate and support their educational choices. Vendors representing all school choice options\, along with organizations offering support services such as sports\, tutoring\, camps\, and enrichment programs\, come together to serve families in a meaningful and accessible way. \nLocation TBD

SUMMARY:Positive Athlete: Recognition and Dual Threat Playbook
DESCRIPTION:Learn about a FREE and easy opportunity to recognize\, empower and connect high character high school student-athletes (including club and individual sports) who embody the traits that make communities stronger. Free lifelong resources (character\, leadership\, career) are provided to all nominees not just those award and scholarship winners. \n\n\nYouth sports is booming—a $40 billion plus industry that is only growing. But alongside that growth has come a “more is more” culture: rising costs\, early specialization\, and constant pressure to do more\, train more\, and spend more. For the 95% of student-athletes who won’t compete beyond high school\, that can create burnout and the harmful belief that if sports end\, success does too. But what if in real time we reframed the athlete journey as dual purpose for our young student athletes? Not just a path to athletic achievement\, but a foundation for life—developing resilience\, discipline\, leadership\, teamwork\, and other transferable skills that fuel long-term success. This mindset shift could create a healthier\, more sustainable future for student athletes. Let us help you spark this mindset shift for your student athletes!

The session will highlight essential advocacy strategies\, including asking effective questions\, collaborating with school teams\, understanding procedural safeguards\, and ensuring scholars receive the individualized support they need to thrive. \n\n\nBy the conclusion of the session\, participants will feel equipped to confidently advocate for their scholars\, navigate educational systems with greater understanding\, and take an active role in creating pathways for academic growth\, inclusion\, and success.

SUMMARY:Designing a System of Belonging at Home: Using the Sims Framework to Strengthen Relationships\, Advocacy\, and Outcomes for Boys
DESCRIPTION:Parents are often given advice about managing behavior\, improving communication\, or increasing motivation. This session takes a different approach. Using the Sims Framework\, participants will explore how beliefs\, structures\, and daily practices shape a young person’s sense of belonging\, predictability\, identity\, and success. \n\n\nThrough reflection and practical application\, parents will learn how family systems influence outcomes and how intentional alignment between what we believe\, how we organize family life\, and what we do every day can strengthen relationships and support healthy development. Participants will also explore how to become stronger advocates for their sons within schools\, youth-serving organizations\, and other systems that shape opportunity. \n\n\nThis session is particularly relevant for parents\, caregivers\, mentors\, and family members who want to better understand and support boys and young men in today’s increasingly complex social and educational environments.

SUMMARY:Teller - Wired for Connection: Navigating Stress\, the Brain\, and Childhood Resilience
DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder what’s actually happening when your child “flips their lid”—or why your own stress levels skyrocket in response? You aren’t alone. \n\n\nWelcome to a workshop designed to demystify the science behind everyday parenting challenges. In this session\, we will look under the hood at the developing brain and nervous system to understand how children experience\, process\, and express stress. \n\n\nWe will explore the impact of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences)\, but more importantly\, we will focus on the incredible\, healing power of PCEs (Positive Childhood Experiences) and how you can naturally build them into your family’s life. \n\n\nWhat you will take away: \n\n\n● A clear understanding of the “fight\, flight\, or freeze” responses in children (and adults!). \n\n\n● The science of how positive experiences buffer stress and build lifelong resilience. \n\n\n● Practical\, real-time regulation strategies to move your household from reactivity to \n\n\nconnection. \n\n\nLeave the guilt at the door and walk away with the modern\, science-backed tools you need to co-regulate with your child through life’s big emotions.
