This Parent Talk is designed to encourage and equip parents with practical insights\, hope\, and tools for the journey. \n\n\nTogether\, we’ll explore research and real-life examples that show the powerful and lasting influence parents continue to have in the lives of their children\, teens\, and emerging adults. We’ll also take an honest look at some of the unique challenges and uncertainties young people face today\, helping parents better understand the world their children are navigating. \n\n\nThe session will include a brief overview of the work EFL is doing in schools to support students and strengthen families\, along with a variety of trusted parenting resources that can provide ongoing guidance and encouragement. \n\n\nWe’ll wrap up with practical ideas parents can begin using right away\, along with reassurance that small\, intentional moments of connection can make a meaningful difference. Whether you’re parenting a young child\, a teenager\, or a young adult\, you’ll leave feeling encouraged\, informed\, and better equipped for the road ahead.

SUMMARY:Teller - Growing Minds and Modern Highs: Today’s THC Products\, Potencies\, Problems & Protections
DESCRIPTION:Attendees will learn about current delivery methods and how aspects of the marijuana industry may be targeting youth and contributing to youth access and exposure. The session will also cover the strength and impact of high-potency THC products on mental health\, as well as the signs\, stages\, and characteristics of Cannabis-Induced Psychosis (CIP)\, Cannabis Use Disorder (CUD)\, and Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS). \n\n\nParticipants will gain an understanding of the potential long-term effects high-potency marijuana can have on the developing brain\, including risks that may be irreversible. \n\n\nThe training will also provide practical talking points and strategies for having informed conversations with young people about this challenging topic. In addition\, participants will receive support materials such as “Marijuana Free Zone” stickers\, educational posters\, and informational handouts.
